Have you ever googled "What does a farmer look like?" Well I did just that after a twitter conversation about the image that is portrayed of farmers. I've got to say I was less than impressed with the results.
I can assure you right now that farmers are not all grey haired bearded men in checked flannelette and bib & brace overalls holding a pitchfork and chewing straw!
To show the diversity of our farming community in Australia, I have travelled around the country photographing and interviewing our farmers to see and hear all about them, their families, their farms and why they do it all!
Creating the What Does A Farmer Look Like? book has been both challenging and rewarding!
Mt latest book, Little Farmers, was inspired by the reaction I see every time someone look through the Farm Kids chapter of the first book. It is always one of joy and I love that I can bring that sort of positivity to another book. In Little Farmers, you find more beautiful photographs and stories from our next generation of farmers.
